Born in 1959, Eugene (Gene) McAlister grew up in Burlingame, California. He attended Burlingame
High School, followed by California State
University at Hayward.
At CSUH Gene studied Liberal Arts and earned a Bachelor of Sciences
Degree in Psychology. Gene has resided in
the San Francisco Bay Area his entire life and has been an active volunteer in
the community.
While in college, Gene also studied in Florence, Italy. This led to his passion for travel, and to
working in the airline industry. At
United Air Lines, Gene had countless discussions with co-workers about the need
for retirement planning strategies. He
also realized many people did not know where to go for help in that area. In the mid-1990s, through a friendship
established in high school, his interest grew further leading to getting
licensed as an independent Life agent enabling him to help others with their
retirement goals.
Gene’s licenses include: Insurance Agent license (#0C11540)
through the California Department of Insurance, Real Estate Agent license
(#01341041) through the California Department of Real Estate. Since founding EFM Insurance Services, he has
focused on retirement income and protecting assets such as Savings, IRAs and
401(k) rollovers. Besides having written
articles for local newspapers, Gene has been a featured speaker in seminars
addressing international corporation employees and unions.
